You may be too young to remember the movie “Cool Hand Luke”, but probably you have heard the infamous line from it; “What we have here is a failure to communicate.” Whenever I’m working with a group it isn’t long before I hear someone say that the cause of a problem or difficulty was poor communication or miscommunication or no communication. It is an apparent “failure to communicate”. But, do we even know what we mean by this statement? How do we even know when we have communicated or not?
